In the Flint Hills of Kansas, there is an annual event called "Prairie Burns". The ranchers burn the fields to get rid of noxious weeds and cedars. In about two weeks, the lush green grasses carpet hills providing the best feed for the cattle. There's nothing more beautiful in the spring than the green rolling hills of the Flint Hills of Kansas. At this ranch, it's done the old fashion way....on horseback!

Crystal is a Kansas City area photographer. She has been taking photographs since she got her first Instamatic camera. She also has attended numerous photography classes, seminars and workshops given by local and nationally known photographers. Crystal likes to shoot many different subjects. She feels that photographs are very personal and keeps variety in her work to appeal to a wider audience. She belongs to Kansas City Artists Coalition, Lawrence Art Guild, Johnson County Camera Club, Digital Dimensions, Wyandotte Camera Club and the Kansas City Zoo Photography Club.
