In the Flint Hills of Kansas, there is an annual event called "Prairie Burns". The ranchers burn the fields to get rid of noxious weeds and cedars. In about two weeks, the lush green grasses carpet the rolling hills providing the best feed for the cattle. There's nothing more beautiful in the spring than the green rolling hills of the Flint Hills of Kansas.
